I am running to be the Merrimack Valley's next State Representative because of my dedication to our community and to bring my passion for service to the State House.

I truly believe democracy is not a spectator sport.  My commitment to this belief is why I was motivated to serve on North Andover’s Master Plan Advisory Committee, and our School Building Committee.  I spent years as a sexual assault hotline advocate, and as a member of our local YWCA Board of Directors.  I volunteer my time at the Franklin School Library, with our local Boy Scouts, and coach girls’ softball because – like many – it is important to be involved.  Being part of the solution means not being a spectator.

I wasn’t expecting to run for this office. However, when this seat opened up I saw the opportunity to bring my work ethic to Boston, representing the Merrimack Valley.  I’d be honored to earn your vote on November 6th.  Thank you!

Women's Power Gap. Inspiring Woman: Christina Minicucci

Christina is one of 46 women elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives on November 6, 2018.

We asked Christina what the catalyst of her decision to run for State Representative was. Her response: "Everyone deserves opportunity – the opportunity to get a quality public education regardless of zip code; to work a good job and earn a living wage; to have easy, affordable access to healthcare; and to have a safe and stable place to call home. Opportunities exist, but there is very rarely equity in access to those opportunities."

14 New Massachusetts State Reps Support 100% Renewable Energy by 2050

With the swearing in of new members last week, the Massachusetts legislature, not unlike the U.S. Congress, is receiving an infusion of brand-new state representatives who already are pushing an aggressive agenda focused on addressing climate change and transitioning to 100 percent renewable electricity by 2050.

Making it work: State representative candidate Minicucci talks business, volunteerism and vision

Minicucci is running to fill the Essex 14th House District seat being vacated by state Senate candidate Diana DiZoglio, against Republican Ryan Losco, also of North Andover. And as she knocks on as many doors as humanly possible in North Andover, Methuen, Lawrence and Haverhill, she hopes her decades of experience in managing big projects and volunteering in her community will get her there.

Letter to the Editor: Vote for DiZoglio and Minicucci

It can be tough to have faith in the political process these days, especially as we observe the dysfunction at almost every level of government. That is why I strive to support candidates with a strong work ethic, a demonstrable passion for public service, and the temperament required to bridge the ever-growing divide at both ends of the political spectrum. The Merrimack Valley has two candidates that fit this mold: Diana DiZoglio and Christina Minicucci.

Letter to the Editor: Minicucci would make an excellent state representative

I have watched many politicians over the years from both political persuasions and there are many factors that go into supporting a candidate. The first quality that I look for is content of their character. The second I watch is their commitment and responsiveness to their constituents. The third I quality I look for is their stand on issues and their reasoning behind them. I watch to see if they listen as well as speak. I was always taught that you have two ears and one mouth for a reason.
